A man suffered injuries including broken limbs in a May 17 crash at a busy west Erie intersection.
The crash was reported shortly before 6 p.m. May 17 at West 12th Street and Pittsburgh Avenue. According to Erie police, a 37-year-old man was driving a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle east on West 12th Street when he collided with a 2025 Kia Seltos that was believed to have been traveling west on West 12th Street and was turning south onto Pittsburgh Avenue.
The motorcyclist was taken to UPMC Hamot with injuries that included broken arms, leg and pelvis, police reported May 18. The 24-year-old driver of the Kia stopped after the accident and was not reported injured, according to police.

Erie police accident investigators have spoken to witnesses and are reviewing video from the accident scene as part of the ongoing investigation into the accident.
