The City of Erie roads will see some major upgrades later this week. Roadwork on the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 between Exit 183 (Route 5, 12th Street) and Exit 182 (Route 20, 26th Street) will begin on May 20 and May 21 weather permitting.
Employees from PennDOT will be patching various potholes and sealing cracks on the bridge. Drivers traveling during these dates should expect lane restrictions and slowed traffic. Driver should slow down in these work zones while being alert for changing road conditions.
