Black River Road in Lower Saucon to be closed for the summer

Motorists who regularly travel on Black River Road in Lower Saucon Township will be detoured for at least the summer.

The township said PennDOT is replacing a bridge/culvert between the St. Luke’s Hospice and the Black River Farms development. Work is scheduled to begin June 1, and the goal is to have it completed by the beginning of the school year, the township said.

The driveway to St. Luke’s Hospice will remain open.

Traffic will follow a detour that uses Route 378, Hickory Hill Road and Bingen Road.
