You’ll be able to see the above results after polls close at 8 p.m.An Uncontested Governor’s Race While the Pennsylvania Governor’s race is uncontested, the Primary will lead into a battle against incumbent Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Treasure, Republican Stacy Garrity who was reelected for her position in 2024. Shapiro, who ran uncontested while still Pennsylvania Attorney General, succeeded the term-limited Tom Wolf in 2023, making Shapiro the first Pennsylvania governor elected to replace a member of his party since 1966. Garrity, a retired Army Reserve colonel and three-tour Iraq veteran, was serving as vice president of a tungsten smelting plant when she beat Democratic Treasurer Joe Torsella by less than 1 percentage point in the 2020 election.
