A 38-year-old Reading man was the motorcyclist fatally injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Route 183 in Penn Township, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said Tuesday.
Nicholas DePietro was pronounced dead Sunday at 2:42 p.m. in Reading Hospital by emergency department staff. He died of multiple injuries and the crash was ruled accidental, the coroner said.
The crash happened at Route 183 and Shartlesville Road shortly before 2 p.m. Reports indicate the motorcycle collided with another vehicle.
Route 183, also known as Bernville Road, was closed between Summer Mountain Road in Penn Township and Washington Street in Bernville while state police investigated.
State police haven’t released information on the crash.
