Authorities say a man tried to sexually assault a woman after breaking into her home in Pittsburgh’s Elliot neighborhood.Authorities were called to the 100 block of Marlow Street around 10:48 p.m. earlier this month for a woman who had been reportedly assaulted by a man who broke into her home. The victim told investigators she had gone upstairs to take a shower after her child had fallen asleep on a downstairs couch in the home. When she got out of the shower, she told investigators she heard rustling from downstairs and originally believed her child had woken up.The woman said she walked toward the steps and saw an unknown man wearing a black facemask who ran up the stairs at her. According to the criminal complaint, the man, later identified as Jayden Morgan, attempted to sexually assault the victim and hit her multiple times with a closed fist. The victim told authorities Morgan eventually ran after she fought him. Once she heard the door slam, she barricaded herself inside a bedroom and called 911, the criminal complaint states. Authorities say they were able to identify Morgan as a suspect through multiple surveillance camera videos from around the nearby area. Morgan faces multiple charges including burglary, simple assault and indecent assault.
