NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. – A New Tripoli man is facing felony charges after investigators say he used computer software to create child sexual abuse material.
Reza John Mazlum, 50, is charged with three felony counts of Sexual Abuse of Children – Child Sex Abuse Material, according to a press release from District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan.
The DA says an arrest warrant was issued for Mazlum, and he was taken into custody on May 11, 2026. He later waived his preliminary hearing on May 18 and is being held in Lehigh County Jail on $100,000 bail.
State police began investigating Mazlum after receiving a report on March 24, 2026. A witness told authorities that Mazlum had shown them images of young girls in clothing and bikinis, claiming he found the pictures on Pinterest. The witness contacted police due to concerns about Mazlum’s behavior and his living situation, the release says.
Troopers interviewed Mazlum at his home on April 4. During that interview, investigators say Mazlum acknowledged that he would download clothed images of children from Pinterest and then use software to digitally remove their clothing. He told police he saved the altered images in the photo gallery on his cellphone.
Police seized Mazlum’s phone under a search warrant. Investigators say they uncovered numerous images of child sexual abuse material, including photos that had been digitally manipulated to make clothed children appear nude.
