Erie Mayor Daria Devlin took part in Election Day activities by riding the EMTA Election Day Trolley, a service designed to help connect residents with polling locations across the city.
The special trolley route, which began at 9 a.m. at City Hall, makes stops at key polling sites and community locations throughout Erie, offering voters a convenient way to reach the polls.
The mayor joined riders along the route, emphasizing the importance of accessibility and civic engagement. One of the stops included Abundant Life Church, where the mayor spoke with residents and observed the turnout.
The trolley not only provides transportation but also helps build a sense of community by bringing people together on their way to vote.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage voter participation and remove barriers to the ballot box, ensuring more residents have the opportunity to make their voices heard on Election Day.
