• Borough of Topton Sesquicentennial celebration, marking 150 years since the borough was founded. It begins with a vendor street fair along Home Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Opening ceremonies are at 2 at the Hoch Memorial site. There will be a block party with family activities and music from 2-6 at the Topton Park and a fireworks/drone show beginning at 9:30 p.m. at Brandywine Heights Middle School field. The Topton Mini-Museum at 44 W. Keller St. (which is also the site of the NASA Moon Tree planted in 1976) will be open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The rain date  is May 31.

• Colonial Craft and Demonstration Day, Conrad Weiser Homestead, 28 Weiser Lane, Heidelberg Township, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to see numerous 18th century craft demonstrators, from a cordswainer to weaving. Learn about the historical context, materials and equipment of the mid- to late 18th century. This year there will be over 30 people demonstrating 18th century trades. Free.

• A Colonial 250th Celebration, Daniel Boone Homestead, 400 Daniel Boone Road, Exeter Township, noon-8 p.m. Join us for an immersive, living history event featuring Colonial and early American demonstrations, trades, and activities. Meet Gen. George Washington and learn about life on and off the battlefield while you visit a military encampment and engage with reenactors. Listen to the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps during the afternoon and then join us for a reading of the Declaration of Independence and live music on the lawn with the Haycreek Valley Goldband to close out the evening as we celebrate America’s 250th.
