BETHLEHEM – The Christmas Town America 250 Committee invites Bethlehem residents to participate in a photo show contest to illustrate America’s 250th birthday. The deadline for registering is Friday, June 19.

The photo show is part of Bethlehem’s America 250 all-day celebration. Photos will be on display in Memorial Hall between 12 and 6 p.m. on July 4. Stuart Rabinowitz, a long-time judge of photos at the Bethlehem Fair, will select the winning photos.

The theme for the contest is “America Through the Eyes of Bethlehem.” Use your creativity and take your best shot.

Photos can be color or black-and-white, at least 5-by-7-inches or larger, and must be mounted on 16-by-20-inch matte board.

Find details, registration forms, and contact information for the contest on the town website at bethlehemct.org. On home page, click on the Community Tab, then select America 250 at the top of the dropdown list.

Nationwide, the America250 committee’s mission is to celebrate and commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking America’s Semiquincentennial. Its aim is to inspire Americans to reflect on our past, strengthen our love of country, and renew our commitment to the ideals of democracy through programs that educate, engage, and unite us as a nation.
