A woman has been hospitalized, officials said, after she involved in a hit-and-run crash that happened in Philadelphia’s Kensington community on Wednesday morning.
According to officials, a woman was taken to a nearby hospital at about 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday after she was involved in a crash with a driver who fled the scene of the crash at the intersection of F Street and Allegheny Avenue in Kensington.
As spotted by NBC10’s cameras on Wednesday, at the scene it appeared there were two vehicles involved in the crash. A damaged white SUV could be seen resting against a parked car while crews were working to tow a black sedan that had it’s doors removed and its airbags had been deployed.
Contacted Wednesday morning, officials could not immediately provide details about how the crash occurred or provide further information on the victim or her condition following the incident.
But, officials said, an investigation is underway.
