OTTER 1.png

North American river otters were spotted crossing a road at Presque Isle State Park.

The park posted on Facebook Wednesday night that these images were taken by a park employee.

These playful animals usually stay in ponds and marshes but sometimes travel for food or mates.

Park officials remind drivers to stick to the 25 mph speed limit to protect otters, other wildlife, and visitors. Slowing down helps everyone enjoy the park safely.

So, if you’re visiting, keep an eye out and drive carefully.
