Jimmy Martinez was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
His death was caused by complications of blunt force injuries suffered in the crash, and the manner of death was ruled an accident, the coroner said.
Martinez had been operating a motor scooter when he lost control, struck a curb, and collided with fixed objects in the 800 block of South Filmore Street at approximately 12:42 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, according to authorities.
The Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center are investigating.
