NAZARETH, Pa.- Nazareth Area High School announced May 20 will be a virtual learning day after an electrical switch power failure impacted roughly one-third of campus.
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Isabel Resende, emailed families of the Nazareth Area School District on May 19, detailing the procedures for the next school day.
According to the email, administrative offices will open at 7:30 a.m. for access to students’ lockers.
The other schools in the district and NAHS Athletics will remain open on a normal schedule, according to the announcement.
Dr. Resende said additional class expectations and schedules will be shared by the teachers or building principal at a later time.
Staff are working with engineers and service providers to restore normal operations, the email said. They will reassess the situation at the end of May 20 and update families and staff regarding the next steps.
