EASTON, Pa. – We are inching closer to one of the Lehigh Valley’s biggest nights showcasing the arts.
The stage is set for the 2026 Freddy Awards at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton.

It’s almost time for the 2026 Freddy Awards.
Soon the seats at the State Theatre will be filled with students from musical theatre programs in Lehigh, Northampton, and Warren counties.
The Freddy Awards are broadcast each year on WFMZ-TV and hosted at the State Theatre Center for the Arts.
“It’s so important and it’s so infectious and what it’s done for the kids in the theatre programs in the Lehigh Valley is really unbelievable,” Shelley Brown, President and CEO of the State Theatre Center for the Arts, said.
A record setting 31 schools are a part of this year’s Freddys, and next year’s program promises to be even bigger.
“Next year’s our 25th, so we’re really saving all of the stops for next year,” Kori Lotito, coordinator for the Freddy Awards, said. “But we are really, really excited to be here for 24 years to have all those schools and to get to do this every year is just so wonderful. I know the kids love it so much, so that’s really what makes it all worth it.”
We’ll be broadcasting the Freddy Awards show Thursday night live right here on WFMZ-TV, starting at 7 p.m.
