(NewsNation) — Voters in Pennsylvania will decide Tuesday who will face off in November for a handful of key House seats from the state.

Pennsylvania House seats up in 2026
There are three key congressional districts in the state that voters will get to decide on.
In District 7, Lehigh Valley, Republican incumbent Rep. Ryan MacKenzie is seeking re-election. This race is considered a swing district, with Democrats competing for a chance to face MacKenzie. Bob Brooks, president of the Pennsylvania Professional Firefighters Association, is running with the backing of Gov. Josh Shapiro. Other Democratic candidates include former federal prosecutor Ryan Crosswell and engineer Carol Obando-Derstine.
Over in District 8, a northeastern section of the state that includes Scranton, Republicans are hoping to hold on after incumbent Rep. Rob Bresnahan beat former Rep. Matt Cartwright, a Democrat, in 2024. Meanwhile, Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti has the backing of Gov. Shapiro.
As for District 10, Harrisburg/York, Republican incumbent Rep. Scott Perry is looking to hold onto his seat, as Democratic candidate Janelle Stelson, a former TV news anchor, seeks a rematch after losing to Perry in 2024.

As for the state’s gubernatorial race, Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, is running for his second term without any challengers.
State Treasurer Stacy Garrity is widely considered the Republican nominee for the race.
