EMMAUS, Pa. – An Emmaus High School student was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle near the school, according to the East Penn School District.
In an email sent to families, district officials said a car accident occurred near the intersection of North Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard, and during the collision, a student walking nearby was hit by one of the vehicles involved.

The school district says emergency responders arrived quickly, and the student was transported to the hospital with injuries. The student’s family has been notified.
“We understand that situations like this can be concerning, and we will continue to support our students and staff as needed,” the district wrote.
