Scranton police arrested a 24-year-old city man in connection with a shooting at Big Daddy’s Bar on the day of the St. Patrick’s Parade, the department said in a release.
Officers from the Major Crimes and Street Crimes units, with assistance from United States marshals, arrested Elijah Barcola at the Skyview Apartments on Crown Circle Drive in Scranton on Thursday.
Konstinse Wyman, Barcola’s girlfriend, was at the apartment at the time of the arrest and was also taken into custody.
Law enforcement officers searched the apartment and found a stolen Glock Model 48 9 mm handgun inside a child’s bedroom, along with a loaded magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition, according to the release.
Officers also found 27 baggies of marijuana, five plastic containers of psilocybin, a black pistol holder, five cellphones, a scale and packaging material, the release concluded.
Barcola and Wyman face charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Barcola is also charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, police say.
