ALLENTOWN – Felix Reyes and Bryan De La Cruz homered but a late IronPigs rally came up short in an 8-7 loss to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday at Coca-Cola Park.
Ernesto Martinez Jr. sparked a five-run second inning with a two-run home run for the RailRiders. Lehigh Valley clawed back from a 7-3 deficit but stranded runners on second and third in the eighth inning.
The IronPigs will try to even the series on Friday night.
