EMMAUS, Pa. – Police in Emmaus say a high school student’s injuries are serious but non-life-threatening after the student was hit by a vehicle Thursday.
Borough police responded to the report of a vehicle collision at the intersection of S. Cedar Crest Boulevard and North Street shortly after 2:30 p.m., the Emmaus Police Department said in a news release.
Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that a collision allegedly occurred in the middle of the intersection, borough police said.
Borough police said one of the involved vehicles hit the student, who was walking in the area, after veering off the roadway and onto the sidewalk.
The drivers of both vehicles had minor injuries, while the student sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries., borough police said in the news release.
Multiple people – including the student who was hit – were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation by the Emmaus Police Department.
