EASTON, Pa. – A man who pulled a gun during an argument at an Easton home has learned his sentence.
Judge Brian J. Panella sentenced Waleak Chandler, 42, of Easton, to 10.5 to 27 years in state prison, according to a news release from the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.
Easton police responded to the home on March 4, 2023.
Chandler drew a handgun, pointed it at and threatened the victim, the DA’s office said in its news release.
The DA’s office said Chandler was arrested and removed from the home.
After getting a search warrant, police found a firearm in a garbage bag in the outside back porch of the home, according to the DA’s office.
Police found that Chandler was not allowed to lawfully possess any firearm because he had a history of criminal convictions, according to the news release.
A jury found Chandler guilty on July 9 of persons not to possess firearms, terroristic threats, and recklessly endangering another person, the DA’s office said.
