Two leucistic fawns, which make up less than 1% of the deer population, were rescued in Greentown, located in Pike County, Pennsylvania. The Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center said the fawns were leucistic, a condition different from albinism that still results in white coloration and is considered very rare. The center named the fawns Dipper and Mabel, after the main characters of the cartoon “Gravity Falls.”The animals were treated for hypothermia and leg injuries. Once they are healed, the fawns will be released back into the wild.
