Pride Month is just around the corner and the Philadelphia region is planning some epic events to celebrate under the theme of “Pride Is Power.”

From discussion panels to interfaith services and more, organizers shared a list of events open to all.
Friday, May 29: Night Life Equity Panel: “Where Are We Now?”

Description: “This candid, forward-looking panel discussion will explore how nightlife spaces can reinvest in the communities they profit from while addressing safety, accountability, sponsorship equity and community responsibility within LGBTQIA+ spaces.”
Saturday, May 30: Interfaith Pride Panel: Faith, Freedom & Belonging

Description: “LGBTQ+ faith leaders and queer-affirming clergy will explore spiritual belonging, religious harm repair and the evolving role of faith institutions within democratic and liberation-centered movements.”
Tuesday, June 2: LGBTQIA+ Business Mixer

Description: “Hosted in collaboration with the Independence Business Alliance, this invitation-based conversation will bring together LGBTQ+ and allied business leaders to discuss inclusive hiring, vendor equity and workplace inclusion.”

Pride on the Parkway Festival
Pride celebrations are taking over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Sunday, June 7 with live entertainment, vendors, food and drink and more.
When: Sunday, June 7 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: The Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 21st street and the art museum steps
Tickets: $10, or $100 for VIP
Legendary icon Patti LaBelle will be honored with a special tribute with performances by Laurin Talese, Lady Alma, Carol Riddick, Carla Gamble, Jakeya Limitless and Jess Haya.
Other performers throughout the event will include Lisa Lisa, Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, Anna Crusis Feminist Choir, Miriam Hyman as RobynHood and more as well as DJs.
A note for attendees: The festival will be strict with their clear bag policy this year. Bags must be 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or smaller. Organizers also said that outside food and drink will not be allowed.
Events throughout the region to raise 1,000-foot Pride flag
Communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania will get the chance to raise the 1,000 Pride flag as it travels throughout the region in June.
Organizers said: “The message is simple: Pride does not stop at city limits.”

At 9 a.m. – Pride Around the City Official Kickoff at the Art Museum steps when all 1,000 feet of the Pride flag will be official revealed
