One of the best plant sales in the land is almost underway. The 2026 Erie County Master Gardener Plant Sale will take place on Friday, May 22 (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) and Saturday, May 23 (8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) at First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, One Symphony Circle.
According to the host – Cornell Cooperative Extension Erie County – the sale features a curated selection of sun and shade perennials, native plants, pollinator-friendly varieties, herbs, annuals, shrubs, and vegetables.
“The sale includes a choice selection of sun and shade perennials, natives, pollinator-friendly plants, herbs, annuals, shrubs, houseplants, and vegetables from the gardens of, or raised by, CCE Erie Master Gardener volunteers, as well as plants from area horticultural businesses, including annuals, herbs, hanging baskets, and houseplants.” – Cornell Cooperative Extension Erie County
I’ve attended this sale in years past, and can honestly say that it is beyond fabulous. Not only are these plants expertly grown, they are very inexpensive. Have you seen the price tag on plants recently? It’s out of control. But not at this event. Plus, there are experts on hand to help answer any questions that you might have.
