LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Tonight’s Hometown Heroes put their knowledge of the great outdoors to the test.

Five students from Warwick High School represented Lancaster County in the Pennsylvania Envirothon held this past week. Teams representing each of the state’s counties competed in several on-site tests, including identifying birds and trees and determining the water quality of a stream.

While the Warwick team won their county title, the team from Delaware County won the state title.

The Envirothon is put on by the Game Commission, Fish and Boat Commission and the Bureau of Forestry.
