SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is in custody after police say he stole a car and then crashed it.
According to a report from Scranton Police, on May 25 a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Olyphant was spotted during a patrol and fled at a high rate of speed.
On May 26, police say they spotted the vehicle, which had crashed, and the driver had fled on foot.
Two hospitalized after pool chemical incident
Police established a perimeter and were able to locate the alleged driver, 36-year-old Sergio Faundez of Exeter, who was taken into custody.
Criminal charges are currently pending.
