BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Police responded to a call from a sorority house saying that it was broken into at Lehigh University on Sunday.

At 5:37 a.m., the Lehigh University Police Department (LUPD) received a call from a Lehigh student residing at Alpha Phi sorority, on Upper Sayre Park Rd, who reported finding broken glass at the house, according to a news release from the police.

Officers say they arrived to find a back door forcibly opened.

Police on the scene say no one was threatened or injured in any way, and it didn’t appear anything was missing from the house.

Police say they found a man in the building who was taken into custody. He was confirmed to be a non-Lehigh student.

A search of the building revealed the individual has a connection to the house, according to investigators.

Officials say the individual responsible was immediately taken into custody and there is no continuing threat to the community.

LUPD says he was charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, and Public Drunkenness.

ABM has responded to repair the door and other broken glass within the building.
