Berks County election officials have completed their tally of results from the primary.
The latest count includes election night totals as well as votes from mailed, absentee and provisional ballots. Write-in votes are listed but will not be totaled until those candidates formally claim them.
A total of 51,612 ballots were cast in the election: 35,168 in person, 16,297 by mail and 147 provisional.
The results have been posted at countyofberks.com/elections, and a five-day period to inspect the results begins Friday.
During the review period, candidates can challenge the results. That’s also the window during which write-in candidates must file petitions to have variations of their names count toward their vote totals.
The results remain unofficial until the election board certifies them.
