NEW BRITAIN TWP., Pa. – New Britain Township Police (NBTPD) are warning residents to use caution and stay safe after a series of bear sightings in the region.
NBTPD officials confirm a black bear has been roaming the area and authorities have received several phone calls concerning it.
Police say most of the black bears seen in the area have wandered down the Delaware River looking for food after coming out of hibernation. If

Residents are also reminded to not leave pet food outdoors or leave their trash unsecured.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has been made aware of the bear and is working to track and help relocate it.
