Sarris Candies is ready to open its long-awaited expansion to the public.Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 got a behind-the-scenes look at the new Sarris factory store in Canonsburg ahead of Monday’s grand opening. (See the video above)The store on Meadow Lane will sell handcrafted chocolate, seasonal treats and gifts.The team at Sarris says their original shop isn’t going anywhere, but this new facility offers guests a chance to explore how the company started and how its popular treats are made.”We have an upstairs, second-floor mezzanine here that overlooks our production facility, where people will be able to take a 45-minute-long tour, learn about the chocolate-making process, our history and just all the care that goes in the products they’re eating,” Sarris spokesperson Chelsea Sammel said. “And they get samples along the way, which is the best part.”Online bookings for the factory tour will be available starting Monday.
