Dr. James K. Miller
OBITUARY
Dr. James Kendrick Miller, 80, of Reading, PA, passed away on April 22, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia in 1945, Jim grew up in Connecticut and Oley Valley and graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1964. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967.
Jim earned a BBA from Ursinus College, an MBA from Widener University, and a DBA from Nova Southeastern University. A lifelong entrepreneur and educator, he taught economics, finance, and statistics at several colleges, including West Chester University and Alvernia University.
Jim was devoted to his family, including sons David and Gregory, grandchildren John and Emily, his fiancée of more than 30 years, Laura Kruse, and being Uncle Jim to Laura’s nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his optimism, humor, generosity, and love of learning.
