NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (WOIO) – Following a home search Friday, New Philadelphia police located a suspect wanted on two counts of attempted murder.
A joint search was conducted Friday by the New Philadelphia and Dover special response teams to locate a wanted suspect.
The teams searched a home at 300 11th Street Northwest, Lot 27.
The search was for Zachary Gill, wanted on two counts of attempted murder in a shooting that occurred May 22.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol special team, Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office special response team and Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office special response team provided assistance.
Gill was not present at the 11th Street search.
He was later found at a separate New Philadelphia address and taken into custody without incident.
