According to East Pikeland Twp. police chief, Ramirez-Lima was spotted at a Wawa on Route 113 in Phoenixville by an officer. He allegedly took off on foot but law enforcement was ultimately able to take him back into custody.
Police say Ramirez-Lima was initially arrested for driving under the influence after being found passed out in a running vehicle near Township Line Road and Grover Lane.
According to the arrest affidavit, officers discovered rifles, a bow, and a fake gun inside the vehicle.
The officer brought the suspect to Phoenixville Hospital, and around 7 a.m. as the officer was escorting him away from the hospital, suspect bolted with his handcuffs still on.
An officer wrote in the charging documents that he suspect “struck my right arm … and pushed off of me and took off running.”
Authorities say Ramirez-Lima has multiple active arrest warrants, including federal ICE detainers, and a history of violence and weapons offenses.
He also has a protection-from-abuse order against him in Maryland.
