One of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ top players will be out for almost two weeks after he was placed on the injury list on Sunday. The Pirates said in a release that infielder Konnor Griffin was placed on the 10-day injured list for a right elbow strain. Griffin served as the designated hitter in the past two games against the Twins at PNC Park on May 29-30. He was also available as a pinch-runner against the Cubs in the series finale on May 28. Officials continued, saying first baseman and outfielder Ryan O’Hearn was reinstated from the 10-day injury list.
