PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One person is dead, and another is in custody after a shooting in a hotel parking lot near Philadelphia International Airport early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Hampton Inn along the 8600 block of Bartram Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
Video from NBC10 shows police taking the suspect away in handcuffs, and several shell casings were found on the ground.
A guest staying at the hotel spoke with NBC10. “It was kind of a shocker,” he said.
“I wasn’t sure if I was able to get to my truck, and I saw the crime tape. I knew it was serious, then I saw the news. It was scary.”
Police said they’re not looking for anyone else and there’s no longer a threat to the public. No word yet on any motive.
