BETHLEHEM, Pa. — From tacos to loaded nachos, Taco Fest returned for another year at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem.
“When we have great weather, we have a lot of business and a lot of people out walking around,” said Tracy Ruschman with Mom and Mel’s Sweet Scoops.
Ruschman served up special churro milkshakes at Mom and Mel’s Sweet Scoops.
“It’s very festive. Feature flavor is cinnamon in this milkshake. We got some caramel around the outside with the cherry and a special festive flag on there,” said Ruschman.
Hundreds of people, including Melissa Delvecchio, are trying out food trucks of all kinds.
“I’m a big foodie, so I just ordered tacos from this spot over here,” said Delvecchio.
The Delvecchio’s brought their dog Cookie to compete in a pageant.
“I’m actually really excited for the beauty pageant for here,” said Ainsley Delvecchio.
“It seems every year more and more people show up for this,” said George Pitsilos, owner of Take a Taco.
Pitsilos sold all types of tacos.
“We have beef and chicken and if you’re a vegan or celiac, we take care of that for you also. Our pierogi fries are a big seller also,” said Pitsilos.
He saw a lot of familiar faces.
“I’ve been doing this for 50 years, so a lot of people know us and when they come up, you know they’re like family to us,” said Pitsilos.
At an event that keeps him coming back.
“We look forward to this. We always mark our calendars,” said Pitsilos.
