GREENFIELD — A woman hurled a piggy bank, leaving her target with a head injury despite a court order that forbade the assailant from having any contact with the person, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
The 32-year-old Bethlehem woman was charged with felony assault and other offenses for allegedly leaving the victim with a head injury after she tossed the ceramic keepsake early Sunday.
Deputies were called to a home on Annacrest Drive at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
They said the victim suffered pain and swelling on her head. Deputies said an order of protection was in place to keep the assailant from contacting the victim.
The woman was released on her own recognizance after being arraigned in town court.
