READING, Pa. – Two of the rarest World War II warbirds arrived in Berks County on Monday.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the North American B-25 Mitchell touched down at Reading Regional Airport.
The bombers will be on display during the 35th Annual World War II Weekend, which will take place Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading. The planes will also be available for rides.
Organizers are expecting 80 aircraft this year, as well as military vehicles, reenactors, and World War II-era entertainment.
