Saturday was the final day of Rib Fest in Erie, and organizers said the annual event once again drew big crowds to the area.
The festival featured award-winning rib vendors from across the country, along with live music, family-friendly activities and plenty of food options.
Families, people with disabilities connect with organizations at resource fair
Organizers said the event not only brought visitors to downtown Erie, but also provided a boost to local businesses during the busy summer season.
This is the 35th time the event has been held in Erie.
“I’m so proud that it’s been 35 years, the people that come here love coming here. The people are receptive, they welcome the rib teams in and all the different vendors that come in and they all look forward to talking to the people of Erie,” said Cathi Danielson, producer of the Erie Wild Rib Cookoff and Music Festival.
The festival wrapped up on Saturday night at 10.
