Known throughout Erie County as a winter recreation destination, Mount Pleasant is once again trading snow-covered slopes for summer fun with the return of its popular community event series, Thirsty Thursday.
Beginning June 4, 2026, the weekly gathering will transform the base of the ski hill into a family-friendly outdoor social destination every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the summer.
Designed to offer affordable outdoor entertainment for families, residents, and visitors, Thirsty Thursday combines the atmosphere of a neighborhood barbecue with the energy of a local festival. Guests can enjoy a variety of beverages, including regional craft beers, hard ciders from Davenport Cidery, and domestic favorites.
“We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors back to the mountain for the summer season,” said Andrew Halmi, General Manager of Mount Pleasant of Edinboro. “Thirsty Thursday is all about community footprint and accessibility. We want to give families a beautiful, open-air space where parents can unwind with a great local beverage and live music, while kids have plenty of room to just run around and play safely.”
In addition to drinks, the event series will feature live music from local and regional performers each week from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., along with a rotating menu of lodge favorites and grilled specialties.
Families can also take advantage of dedicated lawn game areas designed to keep children entertained throughout the evening. As the sun sets, guests can gather around outdoor fire pits, with s’mores supplies available for purchase.
Organizers say the event reflects Mount Pleasant’s broader mission of supporting outdoor recreation, regional businesses, local agriculture, and tourism throughout Erie and Crawford counties.
Admission to Thirsty Thursday is free, and all events will be held outdoors on the lodge patio and surrounding grounds.
