The Erie man who pleaded guilty to killing a man at a local convenience store in 2023 received his sentence Monday.
According to Assistant District Attorney Tayler Moses, 29-year-old Jaquan Harris was sentenced to 38 and a half to 77 years in state prison for fatally shooting 22-year-old Jalen Reiger-Williams in May 2023.
Harris pleaded guilty in February to third-degree murder, aggravated assault and weapon charges, with prosecutors recommending a sentence of 45-90 years in prison at the time.

Harris was arrested the day after the fatal shooting at the Quick Stop convenience store located at the corner of West 18th and Chestnut streets.
