POCONO MOUNTAINS, Pa. – If you’re driving through the Poconos in the coming months and come to a set of train tracks, you might see quite the patriotic train engine.
A diesel engine in need of a refurbishment got a new paint job too.
It rolled out of the workshop in Scranton in Lackawanna County Monday.
It’s now called Engine 1776.
The engine is part of the Genesee Valley Transportation Company and the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad.
After two months, it’s on the tracks again.
