PORTLAND BORO., Pa. – The Northampton County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a person who died in a motor vehicle crash on Sunday.
Matthew Bichler, 50, from Upper Mount Bethel Township was the operator of an open-air vehicle that lost control and left the roadway prior to crashing in a wooded area, according to the coroner’s office.
Officials say that the cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death is accident.
The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on River Road near Mt. Bethel.
