ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A woman is being charged with stabbing and injuring another woman in Allentown Tuesday.
Cara Stout-Vaxter, 31, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person, the Allentown Police Department said in a news release.
Police and EMS crews responded to the 200 block of Union Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, city police said.
Responding officers found a 47-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to police.
The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police said her injuries are considered non-life-threatening, and she is expected to survive.
After getting a description of Stout-Vaxter from the woman, police found her hiding in a nearby wooded area and was taken into custody without further incident, city police said.
