The University of Scranton hosted the annual Hayes Family Science Competition, an interactive event that included nearly 200 participants from 13 local high schools, including Hazleton Area High School and Crestwood High School, on April 16.
In addition to learning key physics and engineering principles, the high school students applied their knowledge to compete for trophies and medals, with prizes awarded to teams that scored the highest in events corresponding to the theme of Waves.
