A missing juvenile from Louisiana was found concealed in a box in the basement of a Pittsburgh home. She said Crumity, who said he was 26, was supposed to get her adopted by a trusted adult. The report said while at a Greyhound Bus station in Washington, D.C., she met a woman who asked if she needed help. The victim said she told Crumity she was bringing a friend with her to Pittsburgh, adding the woman accompanied her to the home on Davis Avenue. The first night at the home, the criminal complaint states all three slept in a bed in the basement. The victim said Crumity gave her edibles and alcohol while she was in the home.Officials say the victim was sexually assaulted at least once or twice a day by Crumity for the week she was in the home.Crumity allegedly told the victim he would get in trouble and that he knew she was a runaway.Crumity also allegedly admitted to having sex with the victim multiple times.The victim told officials being at the hospital was the safest she ever felt after being rescued from the home.Crumity faces multiple charges including trafficking in individuals, statutory sexual assault of a victim between 8 and 11 years older, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and corruption of minors.
