First Friday Block Parties to return to downtown Reading   | Reading Area

READING, Pa.- First Friday Block Parties will return to downtown Reading starting on Friday. 

The event will last from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and feature live music, local businesses, community vendors, and more on the 600 block of Penn Street, the City of Reading Office said in a news release. 

The City of Reading said Gina Cardenas, the Reading High School Soccer Coach, will lead street soccer to build player confidence, techniques and celebrate the upcoming World Cup. 

Latin dance lessons will also be provided by Christina and the Que Rico Latin Dance team, along with an art activity hosted by the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, according to the report. 

The City of Reading also said free parking will be available for guests at the 4th & Cherry Garage.
