A Bethlehem Township man who fell off of a moving vehicle in a shopping center parking lot has died from his injuries, according to authorities.
Daniel J. Maffea, 20, died Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus, where he was taken after the May 22 crash, Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said Wednesday in a news release.
Maffea had been riding on the closed trunk of a vehicle as it was traveling across Madison Boulevard in the Madison Farms Shopping Center off Freemansburg Avenue in the township, Lysek said.
The manner of death was ruled accidental, with the cause blunt force head trauma, according to Lysek.
No further information about the incident was released.
