Broadway by the Bay raises money for Erie City Mission
Broadway stars performed in Erie Thursday night for a good cause.
The Warner Theater hosted the second annual Broadway by the Bay on May 21 to raise money in support of the Erie City Mission.

The event had about one thousand guests in attendance for a special show featuring Ivan Rutherford and Jackie Burns, both well-known Broadway performers.
Money raised Thursday night contributed to the mission’s efforts to fight homelessness and care for the vulnerable.
CEO of Erie City Mission Brian Johansson said, “We are buying the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School up on East Grandview and we’re going to convert it into 70 beds for women and children in crisis. So that’s what this event tonight is fundraising for.”
Organizers hoped the evening’s event would bring the message of the Erie City Mission to a new crowd.
