KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Public Library is making a team effort to score big with readers through their summer reading program.
The library has launched its “Read, Score, Roar!” summer reading program for readers of all ages. The program is expected to run from June 1 – Aug. 15.

The library is leaning into Kansas City’s summer of soccer with a soccer and dinosaur theme for the year.

The challenge allows those who sign up to receive a free book of their choosing from their local library to kick-off the reading challenge.

Participants will need to read and log five books on the Beanstack Tracker mobile app to complete the challenge. Once complete, participants will be able to win a prize.
